Our Tech interns assist our senior web developers on a wide range of client projects. We are especially looking for knowledge of PHP, MySQL, Drupal, Flash, Actionscript, Javascript and/or AJAX.

Project managers, account managers and production managers are responsible for keeping our projects going and making them a success for everyone involved. Duties include project planning, resourcing and oversight. They make sure the project gets done on time, on budget and to the satisfaction of the customer and other partners.

A Project Manager needs to be customer- and sales-oriented, detail-minded and a leader with a pro-active attitude. A Project Manager has the talent to both inspire and demand high-quality work from their team. A Project Manager is the point person between the customer and the creative team, so excellent communication skills and fluent Finnish and English are a must. In many cases, a Project Manager will begin his or her career as a Project Coordinator, moving on to the bigger challenge of project management after a few years experience with digital projects.  Project Managers at Activeark are of two types, with a background in either technology or marketing.

Our business developers and marketers have the job of attracting new customers and developing new possibilities within existing markets. They sell Activeark’s solutions and most of their daily work involves being in contact with customers. They must have a very good understanding both of the customer’s needs and of the digital solutions for meeting those needs.

Business developers and marketers should have a proven track record selling digital, marketing or technological solutions. They should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good candidates will be active, result-oriented and with a high tolerance for stress. Having a large business network and many contacts is also important.

Design means creative thinking and the attentive development of an idea from inspiration through production to delivery. A good designer knows their audience, and is skilled at translating a customer’s brief into an original, produceable solution. Designers are responsible for the content, the look and the interactivity of digital solutions, and fall into a number of different categories: concept, copywriting, visual design, service design, motion and UI.

Our designers work primarily to fulfill the marketing and sales needs of our customers. They create engaging stories and experiences for end-users. Many of our designers began their careers at Activeark as interns, working on a freelance basis during their studies and then joining as junior designers after graduation.

As we see it, true creativity is a marriage of design and technology. Our technical designers and developers are responsible for making solutions work. They are highly trained specialists in one or a number of technologies and programming systems, with a thorough understanding of the possibilities and limitations and able to translate creative concepts into complex and smoothly functioning web-based architectures.

Web developers will be experts with a particular specialty, e.g. Flash, Flex, Drupal, front-end or back-end. They should also have excellent knowledge and some experience with web-based technologies outside their area of expertise. Developers produce web solutions using modern standards-based techniques and best practices.

Technical developers must have several years experience building complex, web-based architectures. Many web developers begin their careers at Activeark as interns, working as freelancers during their studies and then joining the team as junior developers after graduation.

We are looking for a copywriter who is driven by passion to create stories and customer experiences. You have extraordinary skill in creating strong concepts and clean copy mainly in Finnish but also in English. Your work will not be limited to a single media or function, but will vary between online and offline as well as between sales, marketing, and R&D. You are highly creative capable of creating the big ideas and experienced in writing both long and short copy across different channels. You are very strong in finding the core of the content from the masses of information and capable of communicating this core to the target public in the right way, with the right tone of voice.  Your work will include producing concepts, writing film scripts, creating campaign concepts, and producing copy text for various needs. You’ll work with global organizations where Activeark holds a key position as a creative agency.

The copywriter will be responsible for:
- Conceptual design and copy deliverables.
- Creating and communicating concepts.
- Implementing marketing strategies.
- Producing short and long copy solutions in Finnish and English.
- Reviewing and justifying concepts to both the client and to the project team.
- Producing video scripts & story boards
